Arranging a Memorial Service

A funeral includes the burial or cremation of the deceased, while a memorial ceremony does not. A memorial ceremony may take place some time later with more time for planning and preparation and for distant or very busy friends to attend. It is worth considering if there are a great number of people who would like to attend or if you would like the funeral itself to be private.

Memorials can be arranged by the family but can be assisted by a professional organisation to which the deceased belonged, their place of work or education or social contacts.

Memorials can be held at a cemetery, crematorium or you can place a memorial online.
