Financial assistance

If you are concerned that you are unable to meet the costs of the funeral, please discuss this with your funeral director when you first meet with them. They will advise on other forms of assistance. 

If the person who died has not left enough money to cover the costs of the funeral and you receive any kind of benefit because you have a low income, you may be entitled to receive some help towards the cost of the funeral from the Department of Work & Pensions.
