You can pay for your plan either as a one-off payment, or by monthly instalments over a certain time period. Paying by instalments is usually a more expensive way of paying, but this can be helpful if you cannot afford to pay all at once.
If the plan is an insurance policy the monthly payments may last until your death, and there may be age or health restrictions that state who is eligible to take out a plan.
