None of us like to think about a time when we will no longer be around. However, there are decisions you can make in advance that may make things considerably more straight forward for your family and friends after your death.
It is always a good idea to talk about these issues with those who are closest to you and to make a written record of your preferences. It will reassure your family that you have thought about things carefully and give them confidence that they are acting in accordance with your wishes when making important decisions.
Keep copies of important documents and make sure that your immediate family know where the documents are kept.
